I personally use a sleeve kind of thing so I don't know much about GS2 cases.
Official gs2 case is nice but mine is now falling apart :(
I'd use a case but then I remember I have the 2000mAh battery. Sleeve wins yet again.
Get a powerskin case or the official Samsung one. It's a case that doubles up as an extended battery.
those seem to add way too much bulk, my pants pocket is not ready for this![]()
Meanwhile at Android HQ:

Got 4.0 on my IDEOS X5 (U8800)
Also I got the phone recently to replace my ZTE Blade I traded a PSPGO (Worth £60-£70) and the phone is worth £140, only problem is he dropped it so I need to replace the digitizer but I've replaced the one in ZTE Blade before and it's easy.
Now I need to sell my ZTE Blade on Ebay and I'm gonna try £70 but if anyone here wants it I will sell for £60 (excluding postage)
hohoh, seems like Asus finished the ICS update for the TF101. ICS is sexy as hell
What.
I try and update with the motorola software utility, the phone gets to bootloader, and then decides it no longer enjoys being attached to the computer and disconnects itself.

Everyone should get the LG PRADA phone.
ITS SO FUCKING SEXY
Am I the only one who thinks it looks like someone just scrubbed the Nokia and Windows logos off the Lumia 800?
Not a bad thing since the Lumia is fucking beautiful but seriously why has Nokia not kicked up a fuss about it?

God dammit, there are fucking NO ROMs for my LG enlighten.
Code yourself one, I heard you're a good coder. I even saw your game, it was pretty neat.![]()
No thanks.
It would be pretty damn embarrassing to get that huge ass Note out of your pocket and onto your face whenever you answer a call. You just look ridiculous, unless you're really tall and huge.
Kinda like getting a teeny weeny phone out your pocket eh? VV
so my laptop broke.
been using my Note last couple of days.
but since I'm a dumb fuck, I'm also trying out rooms on it at the same time.
so far one thing annoys me like fuck about ics
all the damn browsers seem to reload the tabs all the time.
seriously, thus used to piss me off SO FUCKING MUCH when I used an iPad.
WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU KILLING TABS, ANDROID?
DO YOU THINK IT'S NICE TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER APP FOR ONE SECOND, ONLY TO FIND THAT YOU WANT TO RELOAD ALL THE TABS ON EDGE????
YOU HAVE 4 TIMES AS MUCH RAM AS A FUCKING IPAD, STOP DOING THIS SHIT.
Also every time that happened, there were 300 MB of ram free.
is there any article that explains how contacts work on android?
i find them really really confusing
i just wish i could have one separate list with all those people who emailed me once, and my actual phone contacts
i also wish "messaging" would only show people from the latter list
Use groups?
I've got my phone/email contacts separated into groups.
Any news on ICS release?
Samsung released a newer version of ICS for the Epic 4G Touch...fuck is it shitty.
Try Opera Mobile. My tabs stay loaded for 5-10 hours.
Last time I checked market license was 40$
But it's only a one-time fee. Apple's is 99$/year.
and you have to have a Mac
I don't think it'll look like that, I don't think the screen will touch the bezels, and it'd be really fucking annoying if it did
i have a S2 and i already accidentally click stuff on the edge of the screen sometimes... that would suck if the S3 was like that
Why would it? Touching the edge of the screen would physically be the edge of the screen. I'd guess that would be nice.
Edited:
oh.
wouldnt be that good for impacts either, right?
Lol faze rating me late, I posted it like 3 minutes after android police posted it. The picture is old but the news from a trusted source isn't.
They had an article on it a month ago. As did Engadget.
Guys, what are the led-like spots right next to my frontal camera on my gs2???
on the right side from the front camera? proximity and light sensors
Ah, so THATS how they do that screen on-off thing during a call :D
It's pretty well hidden, except for when it flashes red. Similar to the protective film on the home button that no one notices until it starts peeling.
Yeah I hadn't spotted that at first, but I took it off soon enough.
I've asked a Apple employee about why I should choose an iPhone 4S instead of an Android. In general, she was open-minded and helped me choose the phone right for me, which was an Android. Anyways, the most annoying part for Android would probably be the support. Is something broken? For an iPhone, go to your local Apple Store and get it fixed. There is no Android/Google Store that's nearby most of us so we cannot just go there. Instead, we would go to our carrier to get it fixed, or directly to the manufacturer. That is rather annoying, also it's estimated to take me a week until my Mini Pro get's fixed/processed, etc. For an iPhone, it's litterally on that day, if not in a few hours. My cousins iPhone 4 broke down for some reason, it was fixed in roughly an hour. If he had a SGSII or any other Android device, it would have taken a week(?)
Also, the sheer amount of customization options for Android blows the iPhone any day. But then again, it would be overwelming for new Android users. Hell, when I got my Mini Pro, I had no idea how to use it. But since I'm a tech nerd and have used an iPhone/iOS device, I got somewhat of a better idea on how to use it. Soon enough, I was able to use my phone like a pro (minus rooting, etc.) and install apps (and eventually how to install apps from "non-market locations") and customize my Android to the max, change everything, the wallpaper, the themes, the launcher, the lock screen, the browser, and a ton of apps that made my life so much better. EverNote was a great example, it allowed me to make notes and sync them online where I can view them on a web browser. It was an awesome service.
Also, it depends on personal preference. If you want a super simple system or a complex, advanced system like Android. And your price. I originally wanted an iPhone 4. Lol nope, my parents wouldn't get it, it was I think $199 for a 3-year contract with a minumum of $50/month and it had to be the plans with data. Without such a data plan, the phone would have costed $500. Rediculous I know. Then I changed my mind and remembered that Android uses Java/Linux and I will learn Java in Comp Sci in the next couple of years, so I choose an Android because of my development needs, and I would have two android devices to develop with because by then (actually learning Java and messing with the Android SDK where it counts for marks for the course, since the course is Java + Development of Android Apps) I would have the ability to get a brand new phone, my choosing, whatever phone I wanted with whatever plan that I wanted.
So I would get a high end phone before I start coding with Java with Android and I can even start now (I have actually!). And the amount of variety in the devices was pretty helpful. The standard 3.5-inch screen, whatever by whatever form factor of an iPhone was too strict. The phones that I could have chosen was in the 10s. But I ended up choosing my Xperia Mini Pro because the Samsung Galaxy Q was didn't look good IMO and the other was this Nokia phone, those three phones were the only phones that were on sale, as in it costed $0. Being that cheap, someone like me with Asian cheap parents would be able to get a phone with iOS like operating system and experience to have. Also, the Mini Pro was by Sony Ericsson and it was sexy and had a keyboard. Funny how I don't even have a texting plan to make good use of that slide-out keyboard. I also compared the specs with the phones on GSMArena or something like that, that 1GHz Snapdragon is indeed fast and the reviews were overall pretty good.
The person at the Rogers store was helpful, telling me that Android was good. She explained the personal preference thing and time was running out for that $0 phone deal and that no activation fee (which would be $35). I remember that I wanted a Xperia X10 a year ago but my parents were like, wait for Christmas, and I didn't get it either on Christmas. So I had to wait for the next back-to-school sale. I knew someone who had an Xperia X10, he's a funny, dramatic guy. He showed me is phone and let me use it and play games on it. All he had was voice and text, no data. I pretty much realized how overpriced data was for Rogers, but then there was that $30/month for 6GB deal. Compared to that you would get a meer 500MB for $25/month, the 6GB plan was worth it x1000000.
I remember seeing the commercials for HTC phones over the last two years. Those were the phones that I wanted, since there would be a new ad for a new phone every week or so. And I enjoyed those commercials, way better than those iPhone commercials. It was fast pased and I understood every second of it, for the iPhone, I found it rather boring. So I ended up switching the channel.
So the next phone that I would get (in 2-ish years) would be an Android. Pretty much because I need to use it for development. And so far, I don't think I would ever go for an iPhone, ever. Some call me a fanboy, sure I think I might be but I would recommend an iPhone as much as other Android fanboys. It depends on personal preference. My mom is completely tech illiterate, so I wouldn't get her an Android. hat's why she got a Nokia, it's simple and all she uses it is taking/viewing pictures and making/taking calls. It wouldn't be enough for me. So based on all of this, my personal preference and experiences, I chose an Android over everything else, and I love Android, every single bit of it.
TL;DR: What phone you choose is your choosing. Try out your friends/families phones, you will find out which one is right for you. Since your phone is yours.
