WHAT !? It's not a fucking barbie doll ! It's a GUN.You use it to DESTROY others.
Jesus, you're like little girls getting dresses for your guns.
got bored and planned the finances for putting together a milsim event
total cost to support 200 people - $31,430.00
Cost of field, ammo, snacks, in sewer ants, ect.
So you rather act like a pokemon rather than actually play ?
Choose all you want, but don't say to people not to use something just because you don't like it's looks.
We play on regular grounds.
Food, Shelter, Water Trucks, Hygiene, Insurance, Sandbags, and Land rental.
At $200 per person it leaves you with $8,500 for last minute purchases and profit.
Keep in mind that event lasts for 10 days.
I'm not one to get pissed off easily, right? Only a few things really get me riled up anymore. But your constant remarks about practicality over aesthetics is really getting old. Especially for someone like me, that does everything in their power to mesh aesthetics and practicality(an example being my HL2 Rebel loadout. It's lightweight, it's subdued, it carries an obscene amount of things comfortably, and it's very, very comfortable. In fact, on the weekend that i put it together, i wore it all weekend all day long and was perfectly fine. No cramps, no pains, no blisters, and i moved just as fast as i normally do. And it looked damn nice, if i do say so myself). But what you're saying is that if you even consider aesthetics, it's a waste of time and money(oh, yeah, my Rebel loadout? Costed no more than $60 total. $50 was the vest.), which is, as i just proved, not true at all.
If you're going to keep ranting and raving about practicality, then please, take a break from IFAP for a while. It's getting old. People are allowed to dress up their guns and themselves to look nice. Nothing you can do about it.
People don't have the patience.
Plus have everyone bring there own food and water. We do it.It's not hard.
Maybe some snacks are brough in special events, but not constantly.
It's just giving people a chance to be lazy and not care for themselves.
At that point, they themselves are elitist and saying that you should dress it up or make it look better.
I don't mind people making kits and loadouts. You're job, but don't say to people that the gun they use looks ugly even thought it's purpose is to kill.
I think overly tactical AKs are ugly. Do I think people shouldn't use them? Of course not as long as they need that shit.
so if an ak has any optic, sling and possibly a bayonet... its overboard?
Itsjustguy, you seem to be very firmly in the 'pro-practical' camp. My question to you is, how do you feel about GBBRs? In terms of pure performance, they're inferior to AEGs in every way- they have recoil, much more limited rates of fire, suffer from cooldown on full auto, have expensive and proprietary magazines, and very low capacities. Are you saying people shouldn't use them?
It seems to me like it's exactly the same issue- GBB rifles are better-looking but less practical when compared to AEGs. According to the principle of function always trumping form, then, nobody should have GBBRs. Do you agree or disagree, and why?
Actually, Itsjustaguy should go play paintball because he has the perfect mentality for it and sounds like a massive paintsofter.
Would you be willing to pay $200 for a 10 day milsim event involving real military personnel and possibly hmmwvs and deuce and a halfs?
i personally wouldn't attend a 10 day milsim lol
Yeah 10 days is way too long to play soldier for grown men. I think at most I'd go to a three day milsim.
Maybe. It all would depend on the size of the field, and amount of spergs that would be going to such a thing, and how stringent the uniform/equipment requirements were.
I'm just gouging interest. shortening it from 10 days to something like 4 or 5 days definitley cuts the cost a lot.
I'm tempted to order it just to see what they send me.
I'd of course buy some AK mag pouches for my RRV and a drop leg something or another but meeh.
Anyone remember what the website is that sells all those different GBB pistol parts and guns? Hong Kong I think?
I've ordered one this morning, when I get it I will report back in here
In response to the land thing on that milsim event. If it gets approved by the county, the event will take place on 51 acres of grassland, swamp, and lots of tree coverage.
Thats one location, the alternate to that would be close to 337 acres, but i doubt they'd let us use that one.
Main land choice(smaller, acreage is estimated)
Alternate(way bigger, acreage is estimated, this one is partially county owned, and bought)
and the county is very lenient now a days towards airsofters, not so much paintballers though.
One day I will get enough money to buy two M60VNs and duel wield them. I will also have footage.
one day (read:saturday) i will dual wield my m60 with a mk43
and it will be gloriouse
i want to dual wield airsoft miniguns
maybe then it'll make them actually usable if the cool down period on one is as long as the other can fire for
Has anyone here even seen an Echo 1 minigun in person? And see it work?
I've seen one at some store nearby to me, they've had it for ages but nobody's ever bought one. Never seen it fire, though.
The same friend who recently bought a barrett was offered it for £1000 (which is apparrently cheaper than it normally is) if he came to get it before mid-day once for some reason.
And it used to be a long one, but they chopped the barrels down for CEE QUE BEE because the shop owners are a bunch of idiots
