I thought Jane was cool before it was cool.
These recent updates are hilarious and absurd in all the most perfect ways.
Jake friendzoning Jane after she pretends she does not fancy him, only for him to talk about how he is thinking of him and Dirk this is so many levels of comedy

This update still hasn't really changed my feelings on Jane as a character. OK she makes some funny faces but she still seems really boring apart. But that's just my opinion.

But yeah, Jane is probably my favorite post-scratch kid, because of her hilarious antics and mannerisms. That, and Nannasprite was a pretty cool, so it is natural that Jane follows up. I think people just think lower of her when they compare her to the others, who are all so awesome in their own way.
To be honest, I can't really compare them to see which is best. I like em' all.

None of this shit started until the "Dirk confessing to Jake" thing came up.

My point wasn't that they're related, but that she THINKS they're related:What Nanna is explaining is what took place in John, Rose, Jade and Dave's universe.
Jake, Dirk, Jane and Roxy live in a completely different universe. The Scratched version of the original 4 kids' universe. Jake and Jane aren't related in the slightest. In fact, none of the 4 scratch kids are related at all.
When John ecotbiologically creates baby versions of all the kids, Nanna, Gramps, Mom and Bro are made from paradox imprints of themselves. Let me post this image again.
Their DNA gets combined to make John, Rose, Jade and Dave. Jake, Dirk, Jane and Roxy don't really have genetic parents. They are made from themselves in the original universe. In the scratch universe, they probably have genetic parents of some sort.
The Baroness explains to Jane (this hasn't happened yet) that they were born through ectobiology, and that they weren't actually related. They were brought to their universe through the Reckoning by John. She's not explaining what happened in the original universe, she's talking about the scratched one (where they were sent):

Jake and Jane were sent to the same place. The Baroness lied to them and told them they were related. We know all of this happened, Jane is still being raised by the Baroness, while Jake is still living on the island after his apparently successful adventures.
As for the Ectobiology, that seems pretty obvious to me. First, John makes Roxy, Jake, Jane and Dirk from their own DNA. John then combines Nanna & Grandpa to make John and Jade, and combined Bro & Mom to make Rose and Dave. He sent the original kids back in time, and sent the scratch kids to the new universe.
Who's to say the Ectobiologist of the Scratched group won't combine Rose & John/Dave & Jade? That seems the only likely scenario to me

Except that in the scratched universe the meteor drops were switched. Jane's meteor landed on Poppop, not on hellmurder island with Sassacre and Crocker.
All eight of the kids still arrived in the scratched universe with the items John had given them/they had climbed into/onto at the ectobiology lab.
It is important to note that heroes that weren't ectobiologically created in their own session is LE's calling card.

I've completely lost where this is going because I seem to be echoing you but I feel you don't understand that those two panels are of Nanna and Grandpa, not the heroes of Life and Hope.

john was the one to be raised by sassacre in this era, not jane
i have no idea from where you got the idea that nanna and grandpa were sent to the post scratch earth before coming to prescratch

I agree. But all that with the baroness telling Jane and Jake that they are related happened in a different universe. The Pre-Scratch Universe. We're now in the Post-Scratch Universe.
You know, now that I think about it, it's fucking insane that we are taking a story where BETTY CROCKER is one of the main villeins.

they look the same as Jane and Jake but it isn't them in their new session

The Pre-Scratch guardians and Post-Scratch kids have too much in common for me to think it's just coincidence (like how did they get there with the stuff that was in the Ectobiology lab Pre-Scratch) but it's just too confusing for me to piece together with all the time/universe bullshit
