>posts art on public website
>doesn't want google to index it
Highlights:
Never once has ANYONE from Google ever asked if I wanted my art displayed on Google, and I have a good feeling it applies for a lot more than just me. Why I'm so uncomfortable with Google advertising my art is because, well, several years ago, I used to be an art thief myself (of course, before I knew anything about how to make anything online or had a scanner) and EVERY art piece I had taken was off of Google. Google is practically the home of art thieves and I'm tired of it.
There are people, they have the resources to do so, the fact that they don't when it is very well within their power to do so is another reason why I think they should ask first.
If Google takes and posts my images, not only is it without my consent and permission, but it also exposes it to be stolen by anyone at anytime also without my consent and permission. It's like breaking into someone's home, stealing their blood (while the person is asleep) and donating it at a blood drive. Not only is it stealing, but it's taking all the credit for work it never did, and I, the person who created it, is the only one to suffer for these actions.
