Yes. Has some small mistakes here and there but I am aware of most of them. :)
Oh and look up the mod "Opposing Force 2", that's where the synth model is from. (It isn't out yet though...)

when i heard the word synth i thought about the big 4 legged combine vehicle that had plenty of potential but only got 5 seconds screen time at the end of half life 2
Very good made
the editing is awesome but it's like you made the picture just to edit it; the composition is pretty poor and the story behind the image is... non-existent. it's just a corridor. i don't understand where the rebels came from and how they got there, what direction they're moving in and where the enemies came from - all of the characters seem locked into this empty concrete corridor
the posing looks really stiff, like everyone has been stood perfectly still and then suddenly sprung to life for this one moment (again, this is why i can't tell what the context of the picture is)
I don't agree, the composition is a point you always seem to bring up but isn't always right, yes you probably know something about it but you're just not always right. Although you're right that the composition isn't something i entirely focused on, but it's not that it's that bad in this screenshot. Not at all if you look at others.
I also don't agree on your statement which says there's no story behind it. You can't know, everything can happen. For example: It's possible that the rebels got caught shooting a synth(The dead one in the background.) in the seven hour war, or whatever and they got caught/overrun and gave up. And when they gave up the shotgun guy didn't drop his weapon because he didn't want to lose the war. And then he got shot.
But to fix all your points I shall make a new one sooner or later. Thanks for the feedback anyway. :)
I think you overdid the sharpening.
i think too... :p But I was zoomed out so when I saw it 100% I was like... "wew".
not to argue about subjective and relative experience of art BUT:
this is sort of jumbled and i don't quite get what point you're making but actually, you are kinda correct i think. the composition isn't bad. the space is filled well and it's clear what the focus of the picture is i guess so i retract that statement
yeh that is entirely possible... but it doesn't come across in the picture. there's no sense of them being over-run or caught or anything. if you wanted them to look over-run then you should have made a barricade and put more dead rebels in and lots of empty shells or something. if you wanted it to look like they were chased then the dead-end should be more obvious and the camera angle should be more from behind the synth to suggest they were chased
you can't rely on the viewer to "make shit up" which is essentially what you're asking of me here. sure, the viewer has to have some imagination but you can't expect them to make up a story with no prompts - a blank cinder-block corridor and static posing offers no prompts
Gore... fuck yeah![]()
Yeah, my english is kinda jumbled so that would explain that. Haha.
And mh, yeah well, my idea was that they kinda had to line up in front of the synth, and this is the moment that one got shot after they got in line. Didn't get it over right I guess. :)
It still doesn't really make sense anyway, because synth's probably can't talk and the rebels are wearing Metrocop armor which didn't exist yet in the seven hour war, I think.
All I can think of is how the guy on the right is walking the dinosaur.
I could see a Striders large gunfire exploding a rebels head like a pumpkin, or any synth weapon at that.
great screenshot
Missed your gore <3
Isn't that the OPFOR2 mod's combine model? Forgot the name of it though
It's funny because the right guy is grabbing his nose.
