How does the Foundation deal with the issue of civilians knowing about the SCPs?
Like, I mean, if there's a public incident, or people know about an SCP before it's captured?
Public incidents usually don't happen in the SCP universe but when they do it's either a MIB-style "swamp gas" thing, or mass amnesiacs / rounding up witnesses
I remember that in some entry there was a mention of "grade B amnesiac" or something.
there's grade a, b, c etc amnesiacs all with different levels of potency
I was gonna think up some crazy catastrophe involving a large amount of people, but then I though about the Mariana Trench documents and answered my own question.
class Z amnesiac:
hold on... right.
they have not been successfully been contained, and you always end up swallowing some.
Math classrooms tend to be full of these.
If it wasn't because it's fucking stupid, someone should make an SCP about the Michael Bay transformers, complete with containment breaches whenever they ruin Las Vegas, with Class A++ amnesiacs given to everyone.
J class SCP, of course.
Seeing as there's no canon (Since I've seen reference for stuff like "E" class amnesiacs.) I guess it's all subjective.
huh, isn't it always A being the most powerful and C being the weakest in all situations because if you do it the other way around you don't really have room to change things
This is really interesting, especially because even the stupidest ones can be taken seriously, such as the coffee machine that can disperse any liquid. The back story and descriptions are actually pretty cool.
Does anyone know what the SCP about a machine in a hospital (i think) is called? The one that "improves" people put on the operating table. I've been searching for it but I can't find it. I think one of the things it did was removed a guys eye.
Random Phrase Generator. Got phrase "shared dependance", herewego.
Did someone say something about class R amnesiac?
I decided to make it an EX class, Because lots of people walk into rooms and them forget what for, Or lose their train of thought
Suggestions and Criticism?
So I was reading the discussion page on 990, and I noticed this little discussion based on the part where SCP-990 spoke of a highly dangerous SCP in the future designated as 9009:
This seems to me to be a very good idea for an SCP, but has it been done before? I mean, to contain an otherwise harmless object for the purpose of preventing a prophecy or similar precognition from being fulfilled? Or maybe they're containing it in order to see what kind of things will happen regarding it, i.e. it being the focus of a GoC raid, another SCP breaking out to look for it or something.
I bet some fubar thing would happen and that 9009 gets reclassified somehow if that happened.
One of the guys is totally freaked out, while the other dude is sort of calm, has a "don't really give a fuck" voice and sort of explains everything without any emotion.
How about an SCP that's a pair of Apple iPod headphones, that never tangle, and any attempts to tangle are simply reverted?
