I was making an epic pose of 40k proportions between Orks and Guardsmen but unfortunately I couldn't decide on a decent enough angle to capture the action well enough. So I focused on a little section of the action instead.

Not to mention it was my first time making a laser beam.

And I've been playing Space Marine.

Thread title's a quote from Dark Crusade, right?
Anyway, i'm not really sure about the expressions on some of the guardsmen, they look like they don't even care that they're in a battle.
However, the Commissar Lord's pose is awesome, so is the Leman Russ's pose.
Overall, good pose, but i think that the guardsmen could do with a bit more emotion/expressions on their faces.

Limitations limitations, I assume these are ports from something like the Dawn Of War 2 and in that case also that they're not faceposable. So editing every single one of them with faceposing would call for a bit too much work.

From what i can tell, only the Commissar Lord or the Leman Russ are ported from DoW2.
And i think one of the Guardsmen has a face of one of the citizens from HL2.

No, it's all ported from DoW2. If they were citizen heads from Hl2 I would have gave appropriate screaming expressions.

Fear not however, I plan another Commissar/guardsmen image to capture the line "Glory to the first man to die! CHARGE!" I plan on photoshopping mouths and faces onto the troopers where appropriate.

Not very fond of the post processing, but hot damn the posing and composition is spot on.
