    What kind of damage does the first zombie do?
    the hl2 zombie attacked far faster and hit the other zombie about 10 times and the older one does about 3 hits...

    HL1 zombie does much more damage (by default). Especially the vertical attack. The HL2 zombie attacks while moving, but only does a small amount of damage per hit.
