These are some of my first poses/edits. There isn't much to them because I wouldn't even know what to do with 4 hours of editing. I know a lot of the flaws in some of my photos like poor effects and in the last one the smoke trail is off and messy, but I had a hard time trying to find a good one that I liked.

By the way some of you seem to think that using language e.g. "Fucking don't do X it fucks everything up shit" is the only way to get something in my head, well it isn't because I'm not dumb and I post these here to learn. For anyone who is willing to *politely point out things and give me tips, thank you and please tell me how to do them so I'm not left in the dark. Anyway thanks and I hope you enjoy them!

Ok first thing, model and map choice. Crossovers are nice but generally leave the TF2 models to TF2 maps. Things just don't fit well.
Posing on standing models is stiff. Loosen them up a bit.
The headshot pic has no emotion, just standing perfectly straight, arms out, and welcome bullet to brain. Not saying make it exaggerated but give it some feeling, moving with the bullet or just in a tactical postion.
And I can't edit for crap so I can't really help you in that department.

Look at your own body in a mirror.
Best way to see natural positions.

I'm glad you put all your first poses in one thread, instead of making multiple threads which is what many new posers do.
But anyway, for first poses, these are really good!

    These are pretty cool.

One thing though, on the second image, looks like they are weak in the knees. If you're trying to make them look like their walking, do what Reno said, but also just look at images on google or something. I generally have that issue as well, and doing that helps.

In the second image it does look a bit off but what I was trying to make was that those people had been traveling in the post-apocalyptic world for a long time to get to a rumored city to have water and all the food you could eat, and when they're so tired and about to give up, the see it but it's destroyed and stuff.

    Edited:

Since a lot of people like these I'll make some more today

Oh i see now, well yeah they do look pretty bummed and tired so I guess that's why they'd be looking sluggish or wobbly

posing on first pic's really good, in the other pics, try to tuck the butt in by using the grav gun

    Edited:

Ye use lamps, also right click when using lamps so you can grab the lamps and move them around

Excluding the bad maps choice, the rest is cool. I wish I could pose at least like you.
