Took some of Zerax's advice from my last thread.
Took some of Zerax's advice from my last thread.
It's good but there's a fov problem
Care to explain a bit more? I appreciate the C&C.
Field of view problem, means you are capturing way too much stuff which is outside that's not part of the theme. Basically what i mean is it's not completely focused on what you're capturing. You're trying to direct the eye of the audience towards the d6 part which is covered by the lightning from the flashlight. What you wanna do is try and remove a lot of the empty black space around the 2 outer guys, and you can basically cut out all of the red stuff on the left side of the picture and simply add a red lightbulb or lamp to simulate the presence of something red in your picture.
to correct the FOV problem try zooming in while taking a couple of steps back.
Let me make a pic to show you what i mean, will take like 30 min brb
Ah yeah, that's about what Zerax said too. I zoomed in a lot to make sure it was just the Rangers. Originally the scene was going to just be one ranger and there was some stuff under the red light, then I added the other guys because it seemed bland. The red is actually coming from a lamp positioned above the light prop with a light in the center of the prop for glow. In hindsight, making the other two closer to the closest guy would've been better I think.
This is what i mean:
In this pic we zoom in to an appropriate amount
Here we zoom in slightly out
Here we don't bother to zoom in
first pic seemed like a great candidate, so i color moded it
You wanna try and capture the important elements of the picture and cut out the rest.
Thanks for that. That confirms what I was thinking, should've stuck with one ranger.
And for added hilarity, Facepunch thinks I use IE.

That might be helpful.
I love Metro 2033. I even have the book.
No no dude, you can still fit in all three rangers, you'll just have to keep the camera above one guy's head, like the middle guy in the first pic, the camera should be above him, and then move the guys on the sides closer. Imo, you should always adjust the poses and objects to the camera instead of using the camera later to try to capture what you have posed.
Hmmm that is a VERY interesting concept for posing. I must try this in the future.
I like the concept of this picture and the lights are good as well..
And you don't mind me asking but what models are the two men in the front?
It's a model hack of Medal of Honor's Panther with the Metro 2033 Ranger helm (as well as some other things).. I also skinned the jacket green. You can find it here
floating ipod in the third picture = ??
Thank you.
