After watching a few videos made in gmod, I've decided to make one of my own.

I chose to base it on I Am Legend, one of my favourite films of all time. Will Smith <3
Anyway, after a few hours messing around, I finally realised how much of a beginner I am with gmod, and to be honest, making films from games. So far all I have built is part of the exterior of the house where the main character will live.

I'm kinda stuck now. I don't have a clue about making characters do stuff and I have no idea what kind of addons would make my life easier. If anyone could help me out with this by reccomending a few, and giving me some advice on the characters, please, feel free too.

    Thanks.

Use custom scenes you made in faceposer: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=78208

And for the character, you could use Louis from L4D as Will Smith.
If you want to make your character talk, here is a nice tutorial on how to use faceposer from Source SDK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwjNBrRfRWA

For creating characters with animations and interaction, use faceposer. A tool included with the source sdk. Here's a tutorial to get you started.

My only suggestion, try something different for a film. The screenie/video section is filled with enough post apocalyptic dramatic art. People need to expand their horizons.
