:siren:First off, before you remove your orange tip from your airsoft gun: Take in consideration that if people see you with it, they will most likely think it is a real firearm. Please, keep your gun in a safe place when not playing if you have removed the tip.:siren:

There are multiple ways an orange tip may be fixated onto the end of your gun. The most common are...
    1. Plastic orange flashhider
    2. Metal orange flashhider
    3. Front part of gun painted orange.

    1. If your gun happens to have a plastic orange flashhider, removal is sometimes easy. Simply screw off the tip, and attach a new black one. However, if the tip is glued on, there are a variety of ways to remove it.

A quick and dirty way to do so is to grab a pair of pliers, and force it off! You may be able to get the tip off, but be warned: Bits of plastic and glue may remain on the threads, thus making it hard to correctly attach a new flashhider or mock silencer.

    2. & 3. If your AEG or GBB pistol or rifle has a black painted orange flashhider or frontend, removal is a bit tricky. There are multiple ways, and I will put a detailed tutorial on how to remove it easily.

You could simply paint over the tip. I do not recommend this, as it may be hard to find a coat that matches the rest of the gun. The easiest, cheapest, and most cost efficient way is to use nail polish remover.

Firstly, grab yourself a bottle of nail polish remover and some paper towels. Make sure to remove your pistol's magazine, slide, barrel, and recoil spring before doing this! Same applies for AEGs

Keep the towels handy, as they will get dirty quickly.

Now, apply the polish remover to your paper towel and rub on your tip. (:smug:)
Make sure to work your way into small crevices for a nicer clean up!

Be careful of the iron sight dots if any. They will dissolve as easily as the hideous orange!

After about ten minutes of rubbing, your gun should be perfectly illegal and beautiful! I hope this tutorial has helped you!    Except for the fact that the only regulars in this section all know how to do this

For people with G&G I'm not sure if it is all the same but mine orange tip came with a ton of glue, in my attempt with my cousin to remove it by heat it was destroyed so as some of the threading be careful with trying the heat solution. Should throw in the OP that you could get a cheap plastic orange tip just for transportation.

Yeah I can't add it right now. My computer is in the living room and my parents saw pictures of my non-tipped gun and they're like "WHATT YOULL GET THE POLICE AT OUR DOOR"

Guys, make sure you're careful what you're using and what you're working with. I had a KSC Glock17 and I did this with a paint solvent, and before I could make any progress the front sight started melting because it was made out of plastic lol.

    EDIT:

Btw slide was metal, just front sight was plastic ehehehe.

Yeah, this nail polish remover tactic works very well if your entire upper slide is metal. If the slide is painted, you should remove the tip, then re-paint the slide.

Would this really take off the paint? I mean the orange paint on my barrel comes off so fucking easily.

I don't even remember what I did to this:

You could just order a non-US spare, it'd even be flush with the slide.

hm, is it like glued overtop of the flash hider?

probably the best plan. I kind of wanted threads for a suppressor, but I realized that I like being able to holster my sidearm.

Since the outer barrel would be OEM, it'd probably be really cheap

    Pliers.

    Pull.
You can also melt it off but it's messy and it won't actually come completely off. Tried before to poor results haha. Anyways Sweetie has it right, it may be glued on pretty strongly but yank hard enough and all signs point to success.

The front sights on KSC/KWA Glocks are pretty bad. Both mine and my friend's just fell off.

Either brute force it with pliers, or if you want to do it clean:

    1. Get some water really warm/almost boiling
    2. Lower tip and barrel into water (not the whole gun lol)
    3. Wait about 2 minutes
    4. Tip should come off really easily since the glue holding it on is now melted.

It actually took literally almost no strength to get it off with pliers
It also goes back on easy, too.
    Thanks anyways.

On both my KWA USP .45 and MAC-11, the metal was bare (IE: silver) under the ridiculously difficult to get off plastic/paint/whateverthefuck.

I just painted over it, theres not much else you can do other than get a new slide.

Same here in Canada. Technically we need clear or tinted lower receivers but nobody really cares about that one at all.

Perhaps it's a more durable plastic.
