200 years...

200 years had passed. We were enslaved and opressed by the Combine.
The United Human Coaliton was formed after the Combine overlords' demise, we rebuilt and we killed off the remaining forces of the Combine.
The UHC was lead by Barney Calhoun, a friend of Gordon Freeman and the greatest leader the Rebels could have.
Fast forward 10 years. Gordon disappears and panic breaks out, Barney silences the panic with a few speeches but the promises of peace and prosperity didn't hold. New rebel groups formed, one of which is still around today but under another name and leader; Augast's Fist. Their leader was well known for being ruthless against UHC followers and soldiers. Their leader was Viktor Augast.
Barney was quickly overthrown and Viktor took over with a iron fist. 16 years later he died from cancer and his son, Nikopol, took over with the same ambitions.

Now, nearly 200 years after Viktor's death, the Augast are opressing us the same way, if not worse, as the Combine. Their current leader, Victoria Danial Augast, has the same goal as her predecessors:

Total military rule over the Earth.
Only she succeeded where the Combine did not.

I'm one of the first that started using the pixelation as vignetting, when I made the "concept and prototype"-ish stories of the Augast.

I think it looks cool. There's too much of it in the picture, especially considering it has a stupid border and letterbox too, but I like it.

the pixel thing is a bit too choppy. what i mean is its not gradual at all, like i've seen it in some pictures.

I like the story, and the picture isn't too bad. The citizen's pose seems odd to me. I've never been a fan of the pixelation/vignetting/whatever-the-fuck. But, that's just, like, my opinion, man.

When you pixelate, do it on a separate layer, so you can play around with it's transparency. Also you could try sharpening the effect. Looks a bit more interesting.
