Holy shit it looks cinematic!
Love Francis' dumbfounded expression.
Inspired from the L4D comic I presume?
Some slight clipping on Francis' ring finger.
Francis reminds me of Sid from Toy Story. "Whoah... What can I blow up?"
Or a parakeet.
Goood. Good.
Whoa. Damn good AI, damn good.
Edited:
Oh, Francis' finger is clipping through his shotgun.
I love Bill's Expression, He looks interested and it fits his character.
Great Job!
Amazing posing in general, looks incredibly natural. The Angle and DoF are pretty neat too.
Thanks people
It's artistic like my butt.
Isn't it Bill who taught Louis how to make a pipe bomb, not the other way around? It's in the Sacrifice Comic...
EDIT: Scratch that, I just checked. I got it wrong, it WAS Louis teaching Bill.

I was worrying I got it wrong and they said molotov :saddowns:
Pretty sure anyone can make a molotov...it's just hard alcohol with a soaked rag stuffed into the top. Doesn't take a Vietnam Vet to figure that out...
EDIT: Also, now that I look at it again, Louis could use a little more lighting on his side. Apart from the clipping on Francis's finger, it's still a great pic overall though.
Zoey seems a tad distracted with staring at Bill. :3: The picture looks amazing, though.
They're like one big happy family.
This is great. Only complaint is the magical levitating M16 of magicness.
Why would Louis teach Bill the 'Nam vet? Seems a bit odd.
Anyways, great work - looks just like a Source cinematic. If I were you I would have edited around the heads and hats n stuff to make them look higher-poly and less angular.
Very nice.
Actually, while your example would work, the way the original Molotovs were made was by filling a bottle with gasoline and soap, and stuffing a rag into it. They were designed during WWII as anti-tank weapons; throw one of those onto the tank's air vents, and the crew will have to get out in a hurry. The gasoline assures it will burn long and hot, and the soap makes the fire stick. That's one of the reasons they were so effective. I cannot explain HOW I know that.
On the picture, it is really awesome. It's got a very cinematic feel to it. For some reason, I was reminded of Terminator. "Now, screw the cap on. AH! Very gently..."
Holy shit bro, awesome everything
Pretty awesome face posing.
This is great!
Francis finger is clipping trough his shotgun but holy shit this is amazing.
I guess you used this trick you explained a bit earlier I dont know what it was called didnt you?
Could you also post the original please?
Everything is spot on. Nice work.
Nope because I didn't have it saved
Always enjoy your images.
I'm pretty sure Bill simply used grenades provided by the military when he was a soldier, not civilian-built improvised explosives. I dunno, do they teach you how to make improvised explosives in the military? I'm thinking not, but...
Funny, I always hear about molotovs being made using Hard Alcohol like Vodka, etc. in movies and books, never heard about the gasoline and soap bit.
EDIT: Just checked Wikipedia. It says nothing about Soap...or Alcohol for that matter...so why do I keep on hearing about Alcohol being used in molotovs instead of gasoline?
Also, going back to pipe bombs, Wikipedia has this to say:Wikipedia posted:
EDIT: Did some more checking beyond Wikipedia, apperentley Molotovs were mass-produced at one point by the Finnish Army, and those ones were in fact filled using strong Vodka. I'm assuming that most people prefer using Alcohol in molotovs because the alcohol's already in the bottle, so you might as well use it. Plus, the fact that it's got "cocktail" in the name pretty much automatically associates it with alcohol. Plus, with the price of gas nowadays and all...Wikipedia posted:
....You learn something new every day. How about that?
You'd be surprised
I dunno, could it be that both are readily flammable, relatively common liquids that will disperse well when the container is broken?
Soap (or styrofoam) both aid in making the substance stick, hence their use in various flavours of napalm as well.
What's the point of learning how to make unstable homemade explosives when you've already got a stash of working, professionally built explosives?
Whatever it is, it's canon that apperentley Bill did not know how to make Pipe Bombs and Louis taught him.
What's the point of not learning stuff that you MIGHT need? That's like going on a mountain trip and not learning preparing for the worst.
Good argument.
But Bill still didn't know how to make a pipe bomb. If they do teach that stuff, Bill just didn't hear about it...or something...
Wow, this looks real good. Looks like it came straight out of one of those ingame cinematics. Nice work!
Holy living fuck, am I going to have to start carving a tally into my computer desk for every time someone tries to tell me about my job or something?
This is incredibly well made. Besides Francis' finger clipping through the gun, can't find nothign wrong in it.
Also just as a tip, F1 grenades. Working. HAHAHHshhshdhsadhahfdhgdshghdf
I dunno if this holds true for the old pineapples or the M67 but holy shit, the F1
I think it's a fairly common practice for well-trained military units... perhaps not Vietnam GIs though.
The reason for teaching the building of IEDs is because proper explosives aren't always in plentiful supply. For example, in the Gulf War, some SAS units built their claymores by stealing ice-cream boxes and filling them with loose scrap metal, bolts and nails etc. Then they'd line one side of it with thin PE4 and they're good to go.
Like in my example: because you don't always have access to proper equipment.

In other news:
WOW add some chromatic aberration and you get x33 artistic ratings. Shit me I gotta do that one day
... not that I ever make pictures.
Whats chromatic aberration?
calling this good is an insult to the pic
Outstanding :buddy:
I know rite
Need not worry about it little boy.
Some cheap effect that adds cyan and magenta outlines to everything and slightly blurs the picture. People instantaneously think things are good if it has this effect on it because "omg it looks so realistic"... when it doesn't really look realistic, it just looks like a badly taken photograph.
It makes sense in certain circumstances like if your picture is from a TV feed or binoculars or a scope or some other lens like that. It kinda makes sense here though because it's supposed to look like a film.
I had to look real close to even notice the red border
When I sit back in my chair, I can't see it, so I don't complain
