You overdid the effects a little, but it does look good.
I suggest you turn them down a little... It's not as subtle as it should be.

Which effects did you have in mind? There are a lot of things that got added.

the editing is quite ok (except the blur), but I dont like links pose/faceposing, it doesnt really fit the scene. it looks like he is in a haste and needs to grab the sword as fast as he can (because a horde of monsters is chasing him or whatever), but I think you tried to made him look like he's surprised that he found the sword, right?

I was aiming for a mixture. Part awe, and part concentration/respect for the artifact. He's slowly approaching the pedestal and reach out for the Master Sword.

What's wrong with the blur? Do you feel like the forest background is too out of focus, or Link?

I like it, although is it me, or is Link a little bit not close to the sword? I think it's just me, but yea I think it looks fine.

You'd think Link's face would not be blurred since he's a major part of the scene. Also, use [img][/img] tags, please. Nothing makes you look more like a noob then when you don't know how to use basic forum commands.

    1) Nothing makes you look like more of a noob than using the word "noob" in an unironic sentence.
    2) Stretching forum posts with large pictures is typically frowned upon, I personally had rather have a link to view in a separate tab than a picture that stretches the page.

Anyway, Link's definitely a major player, but he's not the focus. From the very beginning I wanted the Master Sword to be in-focus with Link being behind it and somewhat blurred.

That's just delightful. I didn't know. I looked around to familiarize myself with my options. I originally wanted links in the form of the picture descriptions rather than HTML links, but didn't quite know what to change about the coding.

Thank you, guys. Scene building is a pretty damn fun thing to do. It can be really annoying when you can't find the right object you need, though. I had a previous one where I needed a body of water, and I looked EVERYWHERE for a water material but couldn't find one. After compromising my picture I found one in a pack I downloaded while searching for concrete for this picture.
