If I knew what Tnb was... :raise:
Was the character "Miles Strong" a parody of "Miles Straume" from the television show "LOST"? Both are chinese and everything.
Because if it is a reference, I present you with my applause.
You may see that a lot in my the stuff I make. A lot of times an idea would come my way and later I find out it's been done, in either the exact same way, or similar (I could draw similarities from Avatar to what I got going with the Vortigaunt Chronicles, for example.). Or there will be times where I think something is new and fresh only to realize it was just something I recorded in my memory resurging (As was the case with Robert Hawkins whom bears the same name as the main character in Cloverfield and you may catch it too with another character in this comic who bears two names from other movies/shows, as I found out later.)
In this case, Miles Strong is definitly a play on the character from LOST. When generating names (which has become a some-what hobby of mine) for this comic I struggled on naming everyone but Leon, Robbie, and Quintin. I like to refrain from names such as 'Jack', 'John', 'Dave', 'Josh', etc. I like going for lesser used names. Miles, from LOST, being among my favorite character and being of asian descent himself; I thought it was an easy one to get away with (without any harm to my... I don't know the word, credibility?).
Normally these idea anamolies are accidental. Other times I add them in as a personal inside joke. It's just one of those ways of going crazy.
