The flares look nicer, but the composition and the atmosphere are still pretty bad.

The perspective on a lot of the effects are killing it too, and the vapor trails are so wavy they look more akin to car exhaust. Remember, the plane is moving at hundreds of miles per hour, so the trails will be very long and thin.

Just look up some pictures on google to get your bearings.

yeah, one of my mates called me out on the contrails almost immediately. i'd fix them, but this picture is driving me up the wall. definitely keeping it in mind though.

what's the major problem with the composition? too much happening left of centre and not enough to balance it?

It's just overall too empty, and the camera angle doesn't give the picture any excitement.

Just ditch this picture and start something new if the picture is stressing you out.
