Search took 0.09 seconds.
I don't see why that would make file.Exists return false on the the folder name.
It definitely exists, because I'm running lua from it and searching in it with file.Find.
This looks like a bug to me, so I've filed a report.
Why does SetPos (and SetAngles) not work on vehicles? I ran
on a Jeep and it went to the origin, but as soon as I walked into where it...
See above. Phones are fiddly.
Well, the code was never used after it was written, so the bug wasn't tracked down until now. :v:
The value does change though. cdata is GROUP_CIVILIAN before that line and 0 after it.
Variable reuse. I wrote this code 3 years ago so I'm not going to defend it, but what it's doing is constructing a string key and then looking up the global variable with that name. EG...
Files in it exist.

] lua_run a,b = file.Find("applejack*", "LUA") print(b, file.Exists("applejack", "LUA"))

It's the little things in life that make you die inside.
Why did you try to hide that your twitter handle is @MarkyHawthorn? Twitter isn't secret you know.
Just a FYI, the article is a butched version of Israeli scientists make genetic code breakthrough on "Israel Hayom"
Which is also kinda sensationalist and referencing Reconstructing the DNA...
Oh good. I was worried, because we've all heard about all those servers taken down with the embedded-sql-in-your-steam-id exploit that's been going around lately.
Client "Lexi" joined from IP 192.168.137.1 with SteamID "STEAM_0:1:16678762";DROP TABLE players--"
I very much doubt that a crc32 per player is going to remotely be a bottleneck when you're talking to a database.
It seems pointless to invent your own system instead of using a standardised...
SELECT `SteamID` FROM `players` WHERE `UniqueID` = 1592073762;
You might as well ask how you convert an INT AUTO INCREMENT column back to the player's name.
Use UniqueID. It's a CRC32 of the SteamID so you can store it in a DB and Lua easily.
Bored? No copy of gmod? Why not spend half an hour normalising your whitespace?
(I think I might need to book myself into a RSI clinic :c)
My old GP had 10 appointments each day that could only be booked on that day - for urgent appointments and so forth. Presumably they have a similar system.
It's a Firefox exclusive last I checked, which is one of the reasons I can't use Chrome. FF also scrolls your tabs if you open too many so you can always read the title.
How about jpegs? They've got loads of complicated stuff involving cosines and predictive drawing.
It doesn't describe how it's interpreted, it annotates it. What those annotations mean or do depends entirely on the parser that reads it and the CSS rules active at the time. For example, <em> is...
HTML is no more of a programming language than JSON, YAML or XML are (unless you're using a dodgy version of Ruby). It's a method of framing data so that a parser (your browser) can understand it....
Can't help you there, I've never heard of either. I used CraftyJS in the past and it didn't have any major defects.
Using a library for 2D html games is useful if you just want to get a game done...
Speaking as someone who has made raw JS+Canvas games don't do it unless you're a masochist who knows exactly what they're doing.
Having a library do all the bollocks for you so you can focus on...
Perf it, see what's taking so long. What're you doing to the data? You might be able to parallelize it, but then again maybe you can't. Some things are inherently slow. Are you routinely going to...
You don't want to do something because it's too easy?
Who the fuck asked for the start button back? It's completely useless if you don't have the classic menu.
Thanks, I went for a 105.
IIRC there's a 4x displacement in the sort of overhang bit inside the entrance that's been compressed into a single point. I don't know why that crashes when you go near it (after all, you don't even...
Hi. TYPE_LARGE is, iirc, the string "large". (Bonus points if you can guess what TYPE_SMALL is!) I've no idea where it was defined, other than before sh_config.lua was called. Try shared.lua.
I'm looking for a cheap usable phone for going on holiday/to parties with. I've found the Alcatel One Touch S'Pop for £50 (and it looks like a fairly nice phone tbh) but I'm wondering if anyone knows...
I dunno, there's a lot to be said for being able to see exactly what was going on on a certain day. You can go back and see exactly why something was set to something else if you have a ton of...
Confusing history you say? Try 5 people uncoordinatedly committing to 3 feature branches.
Apart from the bit that says "All rights reserved"?
Please don't leak people's stuff, it's rude and as software developers we should really be supporting each other.
Best resource for Derma I've found so far
I'm pretty sure the main feature is being really easy to use. I'm quite happy to pay if it turns out to be better than Sublime Text, but I really hope they open source it. Nothing has hurt ST3 quite...
It kind of terrifies me that it's webkit based.
TIL the git-gui program produces some wonderfully incomprehensible commit graphs.
I'm saying your opinion that the language is hilariously bad because it looks different is childish.
It's not even that different.

C isn't the be all and end all of syntaxes people
?? That's how tabs work normally?
Next up on WAYWO 2014: How wide is your tabstop? (That's the number of spaces each indent is worth!)
Recursive symlinks are awesome
Because Mr Tennison is clinically insane?
Have you made the screen turn red when you got shot?
Also you probably need to make a bigger version of HUD_PRINTCENTER - the kill streak messages need to be huge.
That's what you get when functions are first class objects. Get used to 'em, they're actually really useful.
Why is everything racist to you?
Oh. Well, points 1 and 2 still apply.
In other news, you can actually play WebM videos in IE>=9 (and indeed everything that uses the Windows video playing routines)...
