I'm in Perth, but travelling on the coast of WA is such an amazing experience every time. How about you?
You should totally watch House of Cards on Netflix.
:P nawww read wrong
ah okay, well if you use a remote and that lens it'll be a pretty solid setup. i found that it took me quite some time make sure i had everything in focus, framing etc when first using it, but you quickly adapt and learn from it.
if you're shooting at 2.8 while focusing at infinity, everything that's 3 meters away or more will be sharp. it's pretty sharp shot wide open, some even argue that it's almost as sharp as canons L version. the downside is a lot of distortion, but that's expected with an ultra wide.
get the rokinon/samyang one, it's the same lens just different brands, and make sure not to get the one with clickless apperture ring unless that's what you really want.
I've been living in NZ for the past 9 years :P
Huh, are you shooting with a cmos sensor?
i really think that 10mm is wide enough to capture plenty of sky. are you using a tripod?
almost, but i think that's the cinema version. that has a smooth apperture ring, but you'll only need that while doing video.
it's a great lens really, super sharp and all.
I'll be watching you, McFlurry
