I never threaten. Just don't do it again. I was trying to get you to rant less and listen more. I don't put up with that usually cuz I end up wasting my breath.

I'm not mad at you or anything just so you are aware, it's water under the bridge.

It's okay, just don't do it again if you're looking for help from me.

That is indeed a true fact.

As a matter of fact, a lot of Eastern and North of my country have a bit of a mixture of german and slovenian language.

    The more you know.

Yeah, but don't fall into the trap of just copying what you see. When you use reference, try and use it to understand how what you're referencing works, what its dimensions are, things like that. Look up lots of different images of the same thing. Try drawing it from imagination first, then comparing it to a real-life version and note all the differences, then work on correcting them. Those are all useful exercises

All art is based in reality. What you put into it just depends on what you're trying to get out of it

I'll be honest - I'm still somewhat confused about the whole thing myself, and I don't exactly practice great habits or have a respectable knowledge of the things I'm blathering about. It'd prolly be better if you asked someone more skilled than I. But that's the gist of what I've learned so far on that matter. Hope that helps, and good luck!

What do you mean by studying realism? If you mean trying to create photorealistic depictions of things you see, then I'd say utterly useless if you want to create things from your mind instead. But if you mean using the world around you as a basis for the work you do, then it's everything. Careful observing and studying the fundamentals of this world, anything from the way light works to the anatomy of a human or a dog, is the greatest chunk of how you improve, especially when you're earlier along in art (i.e. me!) Building the cartoony style, although that happens along learning, shouldn't be your main focus, but that doesn't mean you should be working towards trying to get a painting of an apple looking like a photograph. Work towards what you want to make, instead, and if you know everything about what you want to make, you'll be able to make everything you want.
